Thanks to everybody who participated in our 2nd annual design your own dragon boat paddle contest! We had so many nice submissions, it was very difficult to choose. We asked friends, dealers and paddlers for their input. Because it was so difficult to choose just 1 design, we decided to have 2 winners.

Koi Paddle Design by Karely Yu

Karely’s design was inspired by her fondness of koi fish, avatar the last airbender and one of her favorite artist Yuumei.

The Water Dragon God Design by Krisa Jayde F. Pigao

Krisa’s inspiration for her design comes from her experiences in her dragonboat team. As a member of a competitive group, they are consistently trained to be strong, confident, and connected with each other. In their journey towards every race, they learn things about the race, about each other, and life in general. Altogether, her experience has been colorful and zealous—concepts that she translated into her design.
